Le Berseticum Forte: an effective remedy against abusive drug tests?

Dear Reader, dear reader,

Roche and Novartis annually spend about six billion dollars for their clinical trials. Nearly a two medicines sold in Switzerland has been tested in a developing or emerging, where the pharmaceutical companies benefit from the socio-economic vulnerability of "voluntary" and failing control systems: in some cases, patients do not even know that they swallow the drug is still experimental. In case of problems, pharmas know they are not exposed to complaints or the obligation to pay financial compensation.

Contempt for the pharmaceutical industry ethical standards is totally outrageous. The situation will only improve when firms must prove they meet the ethical standards.

That's why our new campaign is aimed at Federal Councillor Alain Berset. As Minister of Health, it has the power to complete the mandate of Swissmedic, including a requirement that the "policeman of the drug" establishes a strengthened clinical trials conducted in developing countries and emerging ethical review.

Help us put an end to ethical violations in drug tests! You can inciter M. Berset to act by signing our petition. For the pharmaceutical industry can not make a profit on the backs of the most disadvantaged.

Thank you for your commitment.
